Jack A. Medovich, P.E.
Jack is currently an Executive Vice President for Summit Companies out of Mendota Heights, Minnesota. He is the past CEO, President & a founding owner of Fire & Life Safety America (formally known as East Coast Fire Protection). He is a Fire Protection Engineering graduate of the University of Maryland and is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states. He is a past fire marshal in Fairfax County, Virginia and has been a fire protection contractor for over 35 years. He has served as a committee member for NFPA for 40 years. He has served on NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25, 101, 750 & 5000 and on the Technical Correlating Committee on Automatic Sprinkler Systems encompassing NFPA 13, 13-R, 13-D, 24 and 241.
He served as Chairman for the Burn Survivors Foundation (BSF) in Richmond, Virginia from 2014-2024. The BSF supports a burn camp for children ages 7-17 in Charlottesville, Virginia. The BSF also supports the Old Dominion Firefighters Burn Foundation, who support families of firefighter burn survivors. They also support the burn unit at MCV hospital in Richmond, Virginia by purchasing medical equipment that the unit needs. Also they sponsor a fellowship for surgeons to spend a year focusing on treatment for burn survivors.
Jack has also been a volunteer firefighter for over 40 years.
