Rob Feeney
Rob Feeney survived the tragic 2003 Station Nightclub fire in Rhode Island, where pyrotechnics ignited soundproofing foam, resulting in 100 deaths and over 200 injuries, including the loss of his fiancée and friends. After a month-long hospitalization and recovery, he connected with the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, where he learned to rebuild his life and became an advocate for fire safety.
Inspired by advocacy training and collaboration with fire safety experts, Rob successfully testified to retrofit Chattanooga nightclubs with fire sprinklers and has since promoted sprinkler installation nationwide. He emphasizes that fire sprinklers are critical in preventing fatalities in high-risk buildings, noting that had they been installed at the Station Nightclub, the tragedy’s death toll would have been zero.
