Steve Ulmer
Steve Ulmer hails from a family steeped in the very beginnings of the fire sprinkler industry.
Steve started at Davis Ulmer in 1972 at 16 years old. In 1988, he took the helm at Davis Ulmer. At that time, the company had two offices in Buffalo and Syracuse, NY. In 1989, two more offices opened in Rochester and Corning.
Steve is now part of the APi merger and acquisition team and Senior Vice President of safety services. He is especially proud of Davis Ulmer’s 32 locations.
Steve’s dedication to creating a fire-safe America is evident. We honor his commitment as a Common Voices board member. Steve also serves as board member of the National Fire Sprinkler Association. He is a 48-year member of the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company, and National Board member for Ace Mentor, an organization formed to assist students towards a career in construction. He initiated a partnership with APi and The Stephen Siller foundation to donate fire sprinkler systems to new homes for severely disabled soldiers.
